GMAT is a Computer Adaptive Test (CAT), GMAT is a Computer Adaptive Test (CAT), wherein the software uses your performance on previous questions to determine which question you will be asked next. Let’s go into details, in a computer adaptive test, the first question is of average difficulty level. If you answer the first question correctly then the next question is of higher difficulty level. You also rise in the score level. In a CAT, initial questions will impact your score a lot. However, too many consecutive mistakes at any part of the test will hamper your progress.

The software calculates your score based on:
